Jana Herwig has been Senior Lecturer at the Dept. for Theater, Film and Media Studies at the University of Vienna since October 2019, where she also submitted her doctoral thesis (“Hand, Haut, haptische Medien. Mediale Konfigurationen des Tastsinns”) and was a researcher assistant on the project “Texture Matters. The Optical and Haptical in Media” (FWF, headed by Klemens Gruber with participation of Antonia Lant). Her research focus is haptics, digital media, self-service. She has additional experience in the media industry, e.g. as a consultant (social media, storytelling) and project manager.
