Yvonne Schmidt is Lecturer and deputy head of the Institute for the Performing Arts and Film at the Zurich University of the Arts. She is also responsible for the research on art education at the Bern University of the Arts and heads the Eco Art Lab, a transdisciplinary laboratory that deals with climate change in a dialogue between artistic research, climate research and the public. She studied theatre, dance and literature and received her PhD at the University of Bern. At the ZHdK she headed the SNSF-research project “DisAbility on Stage” from 2015-2019 in cooperation with Theater HORA and others. Research Fellowships took her to Chicago (2011-2012) and Vancouver (2018). She is also Co-President of the Swiss Association for Theatre Studies and co-founder of the International Federation for Theatre Research Working Group “Performance & Disability”.
